Privacy notice

Karuvi is run by Selvin Chinnaiah, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India ("Karuvi", "we"). This notice explains what personal data we collect through karuvi.si, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Questions or requests: hello@karuvi.si.

What we collect, and why

When you book a call: your name, email, the time you chose, your time zone, and anything you write in the notes. We use it to hold the time, send you the calendar invite and reminders, and prepare for the call.
When you send a brief: your name, email, optional WhatsApp number, the services you ticked and your message. We use it to reply to you and, if you ask, to quote.
When you ask to see starting prices: your name, phone number and email, and which service you were looking at. We use it to show you our prices and to contact you about your project. Your browser remembers that you've seen the prices (in local storage on your device), so we don't ask again.
When you join the Karuvi Studio waitlist: your email. We use it to confirm your sign-up and to tell you when Studio launches.
When you buy a tool or a session: payment is handled by our payment provider on its own page. We receive your name, email, phone number (if you give it to them), what you bought, the amount and the payment status. We never see or store your card, UPI PIN or bank details. We use this to deliver your purchase, send updates you paid for, and keep records the law requires.
Security data: to stop spam and abuse, our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile, and we keep a one-way scrambled form of your IP address (not the address itself) for up to 24 hours to limit repeated attempts.

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't sell or rent your data.

Your consent

Each form asks for your consent for the specific purpose shown next to it. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us; we'll stop using your data for that purpose. Withdrawing doesn't affect anything we did before.

How long we keep it

Bookings: deleted 90 days after the call.
Briefs, price requests and emails: up to 12 months after our last conversation, unless we start working together.
Waitlist: until Studio launches and we've told you, or until you unsubscribe.
Purchase records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Who processes it for us

We use a small number of service providers, each only for the job listed: Cloudflare (website hosting, database, spam protection), (sending booking and update emails), Google (calendar for booked calls), and (payments). Some of these providers may store data outside India.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to: tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it; correct or update it; erase it when it's no longer needed for the purpose you gave it for; and nominate someone to exercise these rights for you. You can also raise a grievance with us. Email hello@karuvi.si; we'll reply within . If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

Karuvi isn't meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this notice, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll tell people on our lists by email.
